Devabhai is a happy man!

Devabhai N. Lakum, is 47 years old and lives in the village of Sayvada. Theirs is a joint family comprising of five members – Devabhai’s son, daughter-in-law, grandchild, his wife and himself.

Devabhai’s son is into garment business and he helps his son in arranging the clothes and packing it. His son earns around Rs. 100 ($2.2) per day and that’s the only source of their livelihood.

Sometime ago, Devabhai developed a cataract problem and was not able to pack the clothes which hampered their business. Customers were often unhappy with the work and this was observed by his son. Devabhai’s son realized this could be a serious problem and discussed the same with his father. He also explained the need to get his eyes checked at the nearby hospital and get it operated if the need arises.

Rightly enough, Devabhai was diagnosed with having cataract and was recommended surgery to correct his vision.

Post surgery, Devabhai is very happy that he can see clearly again and can help his son in his business like before. Devabhai’s surgery costs could be taken care of, only because of your generous donation, Lee and he is extremely grateful to you, for your support.
