Parul has a dream to become a computer engineer!

IMG_0306
Dear Jennifer,

Parul Detrojiya (age 16 years) contracted polio when he was only 5 months old. His family brought him up as best as they could and always encouraged him.  He has one brother and two sisters who adore him. His father runs a grocery shop in in the village of Siyad in Ahmedabad District.  Parul’s father always wanted him to support himself and as a result Parul was admitted to the Shorthand Course in the Industrial Training Institute at the Blind People’s Association. Because Parul’s home is four km from the campus, Parul lives in a hostel in Ahmedabad.  He has found it very difficult to travel from his hostel to the BPA campus.  Thanks to a very generous gift from Jennifer of a hand powered tricycle, Parul is now able to get from his hostel to the campus much more easily.  Parul says that after successful completion of his board exams he is planning to do a computer course. Parul has a dream to become a computer engineer.  Jennifer, your gift has planted the seed of a wonderful dream for Parul!
