Ranjan can work despite her disability!

Ranjan
Dear Elizabeth,

Twenty year old, Ranjan lives in a place called Sabarkantha in Ahmedabad, with her parents and four siblings. Her father is an agricultural laborer and her mother is a housewife. They hail from a very poor economic background, where the father is the sole earning member and he struggles to meet their basic needs and pay for the children’s education.

Ranjan was born blind, but she never let this deter her will to study as much as possible. She completed her basic education from a local village school and wanted to learn a vocational trade that would help her get employed easily.

After much inquiry, she decided to get enrolled for the Steno cum Typist course, run by Blind People’s Association. She soon realized, she wouldn’t be able to study any further without a braille kit of her own. Ranjan was well aware that her father would never be able to afford one.

Knowing that her school provides disability aids to the needy with the help of donors, she applied for a braille kit here.

Your generous donation, Elizabeth, enabled Blind People’s Association to provide Ranjan, a braille kit, with which she can now read and study better.

Thank you so much, for your support!
